I have a database that contains course listings and I'm trying to find a way to present that information and also to make it searchable.
I can import it into SQL and present and sort the information using the Reports module, but that does not make it searchable.

Modules like Xmod, for example, are of no use because I need full text search and Xmod can only search for a word or expression.
DNN's search would work, but how can I get it to index this database and present the information in something like the Reports module or something similar?

I can easily put the information in SQL, Excel, etc. Any ideas?

Programmatically, developers must use ISearchable in their module to be exposed to the core search. As for a mdoule that might fit this, check out List X.

Thank you for your feedback.

Unfortunately ListX does not seem to support iSearchable, as per this forum post on their website:

My post is a bit 'mushed' together. Allow me to explain. Yes, ISearchable is what developers must used for a module to be exposed to the core search provider. However, you can use a module like List X to get to your data and search it within the List X module instance. (Meaning not site search).

Sorry, I didn't detail everything in my post, I was looking for iSearchable because I don't see how to implement a search function within ListX that can provide the user with a simple search imput box and do a full text search on all of the dabase's fields in a search-engine like manner (i.e. the order of the words does not matter and the "OR" operator is the default behaviour)

Imagine a database of shops that list a shop name, address, city, and phone number
Imagine a shop that has shop name "My very own house of coffee", adress of  "street of good drinks", city of "New Lisbon" and phone number of "210000000"

Now if the user types "Lisbon coffee", "drinks good coffee", or "coffee house" he must be given the information for the shop I just described.

What is the best way to implement something like this?
