Hi,

I am very new to DNN and have been asked to administer a DNN website.  One thing I have been requested to do is enable some sort of password controlled access to a files section for downloading.  There may even be a requirement for only specific files to be granted to certain users.  Is there a module that allows this kind of functionality?  The user wont need to register themself, they will be given a username and password upon application.  An expiry on the user/pass combo would be good also.

Thanks in advance,

synt4ks

this feature is built into DNN framework since version 3.3.0/4.3.0:

got to File Manager, select "secure (FileSystem)" and create a new folder. Grant permission for the security role, the designated users are in.
