Hi - I'm pretty new to DNN but do understand the basics.

I really need advice - or alternatives - to the SOLPARTMENU-rendering of menus. What I need is to have my menus renderes as a hierarchy of unordered lists. Could this be done with the SOLPARTMENU (can't see the possibilities in the settings/possibilities) or which other alternatives do I have that don't need be to be an expert programmer?

I saw a guy referring to something called housemenu from "house of nuke" - but the site is unfortunately down.

Any help would be appreaciated :)

Have a look at this http://www.dnn360.net/navsuite , they have a model name "Son of suckerFish" which base on CSS unordered list. Have a look in HTML generated by the site to see if it is what you need.

Yes, SOLPARTMENU has an optional attribute that produces the result you've described . . .

<dnn:MENU runat="server" id="dnnMENU" display="vertical" forcefullmenulist="true" />

It is the forcefullmenulist="true" that does the trick. After that, you can use the stylesheet to control the look of all your menu items.

Hope this helps!

Interesting trick with the  forcefullmenulist="true" option, but all that seems to do is expand all the submenus open, I have come across this problem before and it's used generally when the CSS for Solpart won't quite do the trick... I haven't had much luck with HouseOfNuke in the past, but we did have limited success with SEOMenu ( http://www.snowcovered.com/Snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=5696 ).

Hope that helps.

Well, SilentBob, miklah stated in his post that he/she needed his/her menu rendered as a hierarchy of unordered lists. He/She did not specify whether the menu is to be displayed expanded or contracted. I thought that the simplest way is to use the forcefullmenulist attribute.

Yeah, I was trying to take a look at HouseMenu yesterday, but it seemed that the site carrying it was down. Any idea where else I can go to download a copy?
