I am running 4.4.1 and I have just downloaded the feedback module source ... how do I integrate it?

Hey Mark,

Go to Host > Module Definitions. Scroll down the page (near the bottom) until you see a link to "Install New Module". Click this, browse for your module and hey presto.

Let me know how you get on.

Ben

That's what I thought and I guess that's where the problem (my understanding is). The menu option "Install New Module" takes you to a dialog to upload(I guess) a single page.

In V4.3.x the feedback was one of the modules available to simply select. However, with V4.4.x it is no longer available as an "Available Module" or an "Installed Module". I can also see no way of installing it either.

This is on a vanilla V4.4.1 install.

Hmm, thats odd, so in the Module Definitions list is there no reference to the Feedback module? If there is not i would download the latest version of the module from the site and re-install the zipped files as per usual.

When the dialog box appears after you click "Install New Module" you select the zipped file with all the files in (ascx, dll's etc etc) and upload it. Apologies if you know this but just wanted to check we are reading from the same sheet.

Ben

P.S. Click here to download the latest version of the module.

Hi,
I have a similar problem but on my page there is no link visible to install a new module.
A list of the optional modules that have not been installed yet, with checkboxes next to them and a link entitled 'Install selected modules' is visible however. The Feedback module does not show up in the list of available modules. Looking at the current DNN 4.4.1 structure it would appear that there needs to be a .resources file for the module in the root\install\module directory for the feedback module, but this is not the case. The other optional modules all have .resources files present there, or does this serve some other purpose? I have downloaded both the Install and Source versions of the feedback module but neither contains a .resources file. Right at the bottom of the page all that is visible is a 'Module Definition Validator' section where you can select a .dnn file and validate it. This validates the FeedBack .dnn module file but does not add it. Is there any other way of integrating a new module into the current version (4.4.1) of DNN ?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Deon
