I have just upgraded to DNN 4.4.1 and wanted to try the repository module.  I down loaded the most recent zip file and copied it to the install directory of my beta site, and when I try to install using the Module Definitions page, the new module is listed at the bottom as expected, but gives errors during the install process.  I tried several times, and the first few times it reported an error since there were two files named Repository.dnn in the zip file which is apparently an error even though they are in separate directories in the zip.  I tried removing the one located in the instal directory of the zip, and this time the install errored out with the following messages:
StartJob Reading DNN file

Info Loading files info

Failure ExceptionSystem.Exception: Dnn load failed, aborting at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnAdapter_V2.ReadDnn() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()
Am I doing something wrong?  Or is there a fix I need?

It looks like you may be trying to install the 'source' version.

make sure to install the 'install' version, ie:  Repository_3.01.10_Install.zip
