Excuse my english, I am french native speaker (feel free to change the title). I am not sure that this a bug, that's why I do not register it into Gemini. Please let me know.
I have tested this on DNN 4.4.1 and Document 03.01.06. For information, I have tested this on 3 differents DNN installation (4.4.1 all). Same behavior.

Here is the behavior I have:
1- Drop a DOCUMENT module in the content pane (bottom-left) of a page (I will call this page PAGE1)
2- On another page, called for example PAGE2, "copy" the module (using control panel, add existing module / select the page and module DOCUMENT) ==> place it into the left pane.
3- Go back into PAGE1 and you will see that your module has been re-positionned in the LEFT PANE !!
4- Try to move it into Content pane (on PAGE1) ==> does not work
5- Go into PAGE2 and see... the module has been moved to Content Pane !!
6- Go back to PAGE1 and delete the module... ==> it is not deleted !!!
7- Go back into PAGE2, the module is not here anymore...
8- Go back into PAGE1 and try deleting the module... ==> Nothing happening...
The only way I was able to delete this module was to 'add a new module' to the page (and then you can delete it - by the way, as soon as you add the new module, the old one is moved to content pane...).

Weird, isn't it ? Could you please tell me if you can reproduce this ? (even if I am 100% sure since I tested it on 3 different installation).

DV
PS: already posted in forum Using the Documents module but I was asked to put it here.

Yes, I can reproduce this issue step by step in DNN 4.4.1 (but not in DNN 4.3.6)! I also tried the same with a text/HTML module, and got the same problems (again, in DNN 4.4.1 only, not in DNN 4.3.6). So I think it's a core issue!
I found this related post by helfenj, which mentions the DNN 4.4.1 cache settings. After I set the performance settings to "No Caching", everything works fine!

You are right, once again, it is a problem of caching...

Sincerely, I do not understand this cache method, I always had problem with it. I will definitely stop it and use Page Blaster that I will test right now.

Hi DV,

if you've tested Page Blaster already, I'd be interested in your experiences!

Actually, I really wonder if not more people have these problems with caching. I've searched the forums (and the bug tracker as well) for this issue, but I found nothing that seemed to fit. Does this mean that no one else is concerned??? I can't believe this! Last week, I tested the issue on a second DNN 4.4.1 installation - with exactly the same results! For me, this makes caching unusable. So if there is anyone out there with the same problems, please let me know!

BTW, DV, are you going to post this in the bug tracker? If not, then I will.

I tried to reproduce this issue, but was unable to produce. Then noticed that my caching was set to none.
