I don't believe the current version of the forums supports user avatars

In current release, gallery must be installed and you have to select "Enable User Avatar" from general settings.

I'm having trouble with this feature - users upload their avatar and the picture is shown. They click return, then update from within the mysettings cpanel, and then nothing happens - no change.
