Since you mentioned GoDaddy, I thought I would share my experiences.  I have their .NET hosting that has 2 SQL databases.  I've found their hosting to be generally positive.  Site performance can be slow, but upgrading to DNN 4.4.1 has helped (I'm not sure if is efficiencies in 4.4.1, or misconfiguration on my part of the earlier version).

Also, if you let you DNN site go "dormant" I have a suspicion they move your site to a server that is shared by even more sites.  Once my site had more traffic it seemed like the performance increased, so I suspect they moved me back to a server with more resources or fewer sites.

For the price I've been pleased.  Keep in mind that you will have to look into some other threads  here to setup DNN on GoDaddy.  Also, you cannot back up your SQL databases directly, so you will have to buy a third-party module or live without backups.  (By far this is the most serious drawback to GoDaddy hosting in my mind).

Okay, i meant to say 1and1.com

Also, being a first time installer, should I be using the front line new version or somethign that is well documented liek 4.41?

I really don't want to have to change providers, but if I have to I will.

Also, please list your hosting company and experience with them.

I was looking at WebHostForASP.Net and they look decent, they have and automation installation, and offer 10 GB of space, and a SQL DB with 100 Mb and express with 100MB.  My biggest question is, is this enough space?  Why does 1and1.com offer 250 GB of space and this company and many other .asp and DDN friendly websites offer the same price for far less space??
