Hi

When users add records to the table, I would like to see the unique row number which I wish to use as a reference, as visitors want to follow up and there is no unique reference to a record? Is there a way to create a row which automatically increments an integer by one compared to the last record.

And so on.

Each "row" of data has a unique row id already.  If you are comfortable using the XSL display formatting option, you should be able to display it.

each UDT has an invisible column "UserDefinedRowId". This is an integer, and you can query the value using the Datatype CalculatedColumn, the expression needed is simply UserDefinedRowId.

Please note that UserDefinedRowId is not monton for a single module. Its value counts up for all installed modules in all portals of your DotnetNuke installation.

So it is possible that you will have:

Ref: 2       Details: adlkfsdf
Ref: 231   Details: sdaafh
Ref: 4565 Details: one more

 PS: no xsl needed here
