Hi all,

I have a few users of our site (www.artofstrength.com) who have to login each time they visit in order to post in our forum.  They check the "remember login" box, but it never remembers them on their next visit.  They claim that other sites (non DNN sites I'm sure) that they log into remember them.

What could be causing that and what could I recommend to them?

Look in the web.config for the Forms Authentication section.

The default for timeout="60" which is 60 minutes.  Increase that to a longer time if you want the remember me to last longer.

Is there a value that can be used to make the period indefinite? Perhaps 0?

I don't think you really want to make it indefinite.  It is supposed to operate on a sliding scale meaning that as long as someone comes back within the timeout timeframe that it will keep extending the time they are remembered by the length of that timeout.

If you really want a long, long time on there you could set it to a very large number though.  In ASP.Net it used to default to 50 years which would be something like 26280000 (not counting leap years)
