I have installed housemenu module into a contentpane, then when i go to change the settings of the housemenu module I get the following error.

Error: Module is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(PortalModuleBase ctrlModule, Exception exc) at TimRolands.DNN.Modules.HouseMenu.HouseMenuOptions.LoadSettings() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Modules.ModuleSettingsPage.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have tried resintalling housemenu and it didn't help.
I am using ddn 4.4.1 with housemenu 1.4(beta)

In the Web.Config there are 2 database connection strings.  Make sure you have both configured to point to the same database.

Both  <add name="SiteSqlServer" and <add key="SiteSqlServer" point to the same database. dnn is installed fine and I can edit all modules apart from the house one so far.

FIX - HouseMenu Error: Module is currently unavailable.

Before HouseofNuke migrated to its current (and not yet fully built out) home, he had an article online that solved this problem. As it worked out, I moved my site and started having the problem again - but I was able to recreate the fix from memory.

The big issue is that the module is looking for a styles menu under Desktop\HouseMenu. So this is what you should try to create on your server:

Styles\*.css
Styles\menubg\gray\*.jpg

All the files you need are probably at root of Desktop\HouseMenu. Move all the CSS files into Styles\ and the move the menubg folder under Styles.

As soon as you do this, you should be able to edit the module settings.

Good Luck!
