It is possible to use the survey module as poll. I'd like to add a section in my homepage with a poll, like one question with 5 alternatives. This poll will be change once a while (every month or so), but I also don´t want to lost the previous information (answers) , and I do not want to create a new module for each poll. (dont want to lost the history of polls). Create multiple modules and hide/move the olders is not a good solution (I think so...)

Maybe the module have a different purpose, and I am forcing to something different. If survey can solve this problem, any suggestion?

Comments are welcome,

You can definately use the module with one question and 5 alternative options, however with the current Survey module you would need to create a new module for each poll, or add the new questions to the existing poll.  Rather than hide/move, you could just set an expiry dateon the module for the finished surveys. Although it doesn't match your desire, you could simply set up all your polls at one with start and expiry dates. Even with a new poll each month you would only have to do it once a year.

Also check out the Survey Settings that let you control things like end date for the survey.
