I am receiving this error when I try to install the module into the module definition

"invalid file extension for custom module DNN_Announcements.dnn"

 

Am I selecting the wrong file to install or just going about it all wrong?

I installed the module over again and I am still receiving the same error.

 

Error: Announcements is currently unavailable.

Hi,
Make sure you select the .zip file and click "upload new module"

Thanks.  I did that and it looks like everything goes ok. install is successful but as soon as I add the module to the page I get this error.

Hello again ; -)

Which version of DNN do you have? Are you sure you are using ASP.Net 2.0 in your IIS Settings if the DNN version is 4.0 or higher?
