I don't want to have people chasing phantoms, but we also have seen this happen in our custom .net developed applications at my job.   We were using session to maintain some user information.  I don't know if DNN uses session to maintain any "state" information about a user, but we have seen (very, very infrequently) where the asp_net sessionid cookie gets...well..."confused" and I become the other user in terms of session information.

Just an FYI... I've never seen a KB article about this though.

Hi Jin Hong,

Sorry for this accident, it's really not intentionally.

I just came to www.dotnetnuke.com and before I login, I see your name. I have tried to clear all the info (cache/cookies) in my browsers (firefox/ie) but can't help.

Is DNN in anyway stored info based on our IP Address? because I think we are using same ISP here.

Kind Regards,

Jimmy

Hi John,

It's actually true that I am (Jimmy/j_singal), when I open www.dotnetnuke.com, I automatically logged as Jin Hong before I do anything. I think we are using same ISP and he was using this IP Address before.

Thanks for believing :)

There might be a bigger security issue.  It seems like the Blog Page has been hacked.

I wonder if the issue you're seeing is related.

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!
