Hi again,

I think I fixed it...

Changing loging from 'file system' to 'DB' made the difference, now the DB is limited to the amout of items I put in the 'Host Settings' area.

But, this shows us that there is an error in the core, regarding the use of non-db loging (file system). When I chose 'file system' the DB should have not been populated anymore, and still the data came in, even without the mentioned  limit...

I guess it is a logic error in the code, that send data to the EventLog table, even if the loging settings are changed to 'file system'. kind of a 'if-elseif' issue...

Thanx
Shai

OK. Which version was your old install, if i may ask? Did you make a backup before unzipping the new version 4.4.1 over the old? Only that way you can revert...

I have an 2 year old 3.5 installation that I wanted to upgrade to 4.x but due to changes in web file and DB structure, and poor community support, I left it as it is, and simply created a new 4.x website that will eventually get all the content that has been stored on the old site. This means a tough and time-consuming boring job, but I guess that I'll have to update soon.

We had a similar issue with a DNN 4.8.2 site. We found the solution was in the Host Schedule process.
