Found the problem. Apparently, the DataGrid renders with an extra HTML attribute, rules="all". To disable this, you need to open each page with a DataGrid and add GridLines="None" to the declaration. Pretty easy fix, but it's kind of stupid that you have to do it. Oh well.

Just so you know, this has to be done to every DataGrid. I don't think there's a site-wide CSS fix for the problem since the rules attribute is specified in the actual tag. This definitely needs to be addressed to all teams who use DataGrid objects.

Good work, Michael

in addition there is a really dirty hack to add border-collapse: separate to the datagrid style, perhaps it could be integrated into a skin css?

Dirty or not, at least it's a good site-wide fix. Great find! The GridLines fix should probably still be implemented, but at least there's a temporary work-around.

Hi,

Because I had no idea, how to achieve that I did the following: I simply modified the UserDefinedTable.ascx: I added GridLines="None" to the datagrid. Thats it. It works for all modules, everywhere on the site.

That's what I was talking about. Just be aware that other modules use it, too (i.e. Documents module).
