I have completed a site on an office  local development server. Now I want to REPLICATE this site on an internet based production server and this is what I did ;

1. I added a new alias for the portal corresponding to new site location
2. I backed up my database and  attached it to the production server.
3. I moved all my files to the production sever

However I get a  HTTP error 404 " The page cannot be found"  whatever I do :
A. I point my browser to new folder .   - " The page cannot be found"
B. I created a new database altogether and tried to reinstall - " The page cannot be found"

Curious though that  (install folder path)/install.htm shows a page with DNN logo and nothing else.
Is it not hip to do a fresh install on the production server ? If yes, can someone advice what I am doing wrong, or how I may quickly and  safely get my website working on the production server. Thanks
