i had this problem once before.. and it has popped up again.  I browse for the pic, hit load file and then upload and it refreshes the page but does not upload the picture...are there any solutions to this problem..before someone told me about resizing the pic using infran...does anyone have any ideas?

I also have this same problem.  Click on upload and then everything appears to work, but no file actually appears in the gallery.  The file also does not get uploaded when browsing to the gallery folder via ftp.  If I try multiple times the file will upload eventually so it doesn't seem specific to the file.

Sometimes this happens the first time, sometimes after uploading several images successfully.  It seems to be more likely to happen after creating a new album.

I see other posts in this forum with similiar problems, but do not see any answers anywhere.  I started out using version 3.0.12 and have now switched to the modified version from www.Jegers.com.  Both seem to have the same problem.

I have also been having this or a similar problem.  One of my registered users is granted access to upload pictures for our photo gallery, but it is really hit or miss as to if it will work for him.  My own investigation shows similar results.  At times the system seems very responsive and the files stage and upload fine.  Then for no apparent reason the  ability to select a file and add it to the upload list just goes away.  After adding a file, only the last file displays in the list, but when I click upload not even that file gets uploaded.  I have tried stopping and restarting the application from the host settings page (right at the bottom) but that has no affect.  The size of the files and format does not seem to affect this problem;  the exact same files will work sometimes, but not at other times (I have done rather extensive testing).
Maybe the log viewer errors could help?  The log viewer sometimes shows errors that reference the gallery module, such as:
Method: DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container.Page_Load
StackTrace:
Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I also have that problema and I've discovered that, when you create a gallery, you have to delete all of your browser cache to be able to see it and add files

if you upload some files, then you come back to upload some more, the applications seems to ignore the second, third, fourth upload work and so on unless you restart the application (go to inetmgr, choose the application, stop and then restart it on W2003)

Here we have two problems: the browser cache and an apparently application hangup.

It's not really an application hang up.  The best I can figure it's a cache problem.  This module uses the original upload method that is no longer supported in the core.  The next version when we get it out will solve all the upload problems.  In the mean time it's a little hit or miss sometimes.
