Is it possible to disable moderation on individual instances of the repository. I would like the option to do it where the repository module is only visible to certain groups and there is no need to moderate their submissions.

Yes it is. Just give the group you want un-moderated moderation rights on the Repository. As for only them being able to see the module you'll have to set the View settings for the module and give only their group View permissions.

If i give them moderation rights is there a possibility that they can edit some of the other users submissions or change other settings?

Nope. Only the user who uploaded the file and the administrator can edit a file and only an administrator can actually go into the settings.

Would it be possible for me to remove the moderation button from the template without it resulting in problems down the line, like if I switch moderation back on. I was hoping for a module setting to disable moderation thus stopping the display of all moderation controls etc.

Any ideas if this is planned for furture versions?
