There was some changes made by DNN upgrades which cause this to happen.  I am not sure what type of access you have, but the quick fix involves changing some items in your database.  Please let me know what type of ability you have. (ie, host access, direct database access)

If you go to your host menu then Module Definitions you should see the gallery on there twice, please let me know if this is the case.  (BTW, DO NOT uninstall the gallery module using this interface)

Okay, you got me wondering, why would NOT uninstall it from the module definition menu?  I ask this mostly because my Gallery install stopped working in the beginning of November, and I've done lots to try to get it working again.  I've uninstalled it (via that menu) and re-installed it numerous times, and at least once I remember seeing it listed twice, so I uninstalled both instances before installing the module again.

So how badly did I break it if we're not supposed to uninstall it that way?
