Hi,

This is a basic question but couldn't find anything using search.
I installed a new dnn site on goDaddy. I can access the dnn home page using: www.abcd.com/abc
How can I change it so that the dnn home page is available at: www.abcd.com

My personal suggestion to you is to install DNN on the root.  There are a lot of tutorials here and all over the Internet on how to do that if you need some help.  Otherwise, you can put an index.html file in your root folder that will redirect to you DNN folder.  There's a few other options, but none of them are much better.

I'm using DNN on GoDaddy as well.

This is what I did:

In the root dir, I made a file named "Default.asp".

In the file, I put in the code:

<%
Response.Redirect "http://DNNaddress"
%>

Replacing "DNNaddress" with the Address to your DotNetNuke installation.

Hi Asim, i strongly suggest to install at root level.

Godaddy does not allow to install at root by default. But there is a workaround. I published an article about how to install dnn to root level at godaddy.

You can read my article at www.mynetnuke.com

Btw your name sounds like a Turkish name: If so you can read Turkish articles at www.mikroproje.com

Thanks Guys.

For now, I have used the response.redirect approach. For another installation I have to do on goDaddy, I'll use the workaround suggested.
