My apologies for what is probably a very basic question.

I am using a reimers googlemap.dll for a module which I'm developing.  All is working perfectly untill I try to introduce a sub which responds to a change in the zooming level.  The zoom changes (which you'd expect) but my script does not run and I get the message "The target '...'for the callback could not be found or did not implement icallbackeventhandler".  The reading I've done suggests that the callback reference is needed for javascript functions but this is a VB script run at the server (so far as I can see).

I'd be very grateful for any help as always.

I am sorry, but I have not used that module before.  The error displayed simply says that during the page/module init, the controlid was not found.  Hopefully that helps a little.

My apologies - its not a module but a dll file which I'm using to develop my own module.  The issue is becoming a bit clearer.  Essentially I believe the google zoom control is able to issue commands to the map itself but doesn't appear to be capable of transmitting commands to the rest of the page.  I have tried entering the "implements Icallbackeventhandler but I can't see what to enter in the resulting functions.

The dll does implement icallbackevent.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Jay

It still needs to be a control on the page or it won't work using callbacks.  There are other means to doing AJAX calls...  I am just saying what is necessary to get callbacks that implement that interface to work.  Perhaps you should investigate our Map project.

I'd be delighted to use a dedicated map project but I can't see a download anywhere.  For the moment I'm using an Iframe in my controls which works perfectly but (of course) doesn't interact with the main form at all.

I need to look into callbacks and how to code them, the map is controlled through a dll file and uses javascript for its controls.  I've assumed something along the lines of   document.getElementById(id) is what's needed.
