And you can force these fields to appear in the Registration page by making them required and setting the Rego page to display the profile.

Wtatters -

I did not know how to "set the Rego page to display the profile".  I just tried but failed, and was very frustrated after trying with no luck for 3  hours.  Then I decided to search for the DNN Forum again (I think the search feature of the forum is far from user friendly), and found another post of you about how to do this!  That is it!  I finally got it work!

This is what I did:

1. Admin -  User Accounts - Manage Profile Properties. Add a new field there

2. Admin - User Accounts - User Settings.  Check "Require a valid Profile for Registration" ( this was where I struggled at.  When I did not do this, the new field does not show in the registration page).

Hope this can help others who may search for the same thing......

Indeed, it helps a lot!

I'm in the process of evaluating DNN for a non-profit.  Spending money for a registration customization module would have been a deal breaker.

Ryan: THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I too struggled with this. Looked at many different modules for hours before I came across this thread.

Now I just need a way to take the user to a Paypal subscription screen after clicking the Register link. Ideas? anyone? looked at Ventrian.com but seems does not allow payment before registration because once registered, they will have access to areas of the site where only paid members are allowed.

I am very new to DNN. Took me 4 days and finally got DNN installed properly. To get this far is great, but I wish I am going faster than snail pace. Thank you kindly for any feedback.
