The work arounds out on the web deal with the object tag, but the flash media module uses the embed tag (should look into using satay method), so how do I work aroudn the IE activation for my flash files? My clients are giving me hell about it.

Not sure about the module but we have been using swfobject to display flash files in our skins:

swfobject can be downloaded here:  http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/  (interesting storyline)

Works very well for us in skins... Pass the link to the script to the module developer.

Benefit of using swfobject scripts is it allows us to easily pass skinobjects and varibles to the flashobjects as flashvars to personalize the graphics and text in the movies.  ie:  portalname, pagetitle and even images (logo)etc.
