Hi there. It seems fishy, I can't find MySql enterprise manager. Microsoft provides this software component together with MySql Server.exe which is almost 1 Gigabyte. I downloaded it directly from microsoft's site, however I still can't find it, neither with MySql server 5.0 or MySql server 2005. Does it have a different name ? I have followed the DNN 3.0 installation video (Provided by Traincert) . I have configured everything, the only thing which remains is to submit a new user database in the enterprise manager. Please help me out !

Thanks

Christopher Debattista

Uh, where on Microsoft's web sites did you download MySQL?  Kinda confusing here.  I've never seen a link on Microsoft's sites to download a rival version of their database engines SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server Express.

Can you give us the link you used to download it?

Hi there... Many thanks for your reply,.
This is the link from which I downloaded Microsoft  MySQL 2005
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/downloads/trial-software.mspx#ESC

I just need to deploy a new account with password for the dotnetnuke through enterprise manager. However the video I had, is for installing the Dotnetnuke 3.0, whilst I have the latest version. Maybe this had created my confusion?

please try not to mix up product name: MySQL is a different product then MS SQL. DotNetNuke is usually running with MS SQL2000/2005 or Express. If you want to make deployment of DNN as easy as possible, use the file based connection string and SQL Express. Have a look into installation manual and at Shawn Mehaffie's blog here on DotNetNuke.com for details.
