What is the proper way to update custom profile property from code. I have created a new profile (boolean) property "IsEmployee".  I try following from code but it does not update profile.

Profile.SetProfileProperty("IsEmployee", "True")

ProfileController.UpdateUserProfile(user)

I tried just creating user only or with explicitly updating property but nothing happens. As a matter of fact if I debug an check that property it is not even being set by .

I tried also updating one of the default properties, same thing. So, what is the proper way to update profile property from the code?

Just when I posted I figured out what needed to be done. Since I am creating a new user, I had to re-read userinfo and then assign profile properties and then call updateuserprofile.
