Brad, I know what you mean.  If you just go to a different page and add the blog module, the two blog lists are combined.  What I am thinking:

What if you edited the blog module before uploading it to DNN and name it something else like StaffBlogs or something.  Then log in as host and add a whole new module so that now two blog modules show up in the Add a Module ddl... one for the initial blog module and one for the new one.  Maybe then it would keep the blog lists separate and you could change the page view rights for the role you want.  You woule then have to add a blog module for every role you wanted to do this for.  Not ideal, but maybe it would work?

Apparently that is a bad idea (to upload another instance of the blog that is named differently).  I've been told that won't work.  :)

I think you are talking about a feature that I desperatly need as well. (A way to set permissions on each Blog).
I want be able to allow certain Roles to have a blog where only members of that role can see.

Is this possible now? I can't find it anywhere, because even if I create a new instance of the blog module on a different page and set the module permissions to only the group that I want, It still shows up on my public blog Page under the blog lists.

So It would be great if we could set permissions on each Blog, just like we can on each Page and module.

Is This possible yet, or is it even considered for a future version of the DNN blog module?
