I bet you are using SQL2000, and didn't uncomment your connection strings in your web.config file.

Happened to me, and boy did I feel dumb aftwards.

I have the same problem.

I did fill in twice the connection parameters as follows:

 <connectionStrings>
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=INSPIRON6400;Database=BookiteasyCMS;uid=lars;pwd=lars;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
  </connectionStrings>
  <appSettings>
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=INSPIRON6400;Database=BookiteasyCMS;uid=lars;pwd=lars;" />

Hopefully someone can give us some hints????!! Oh, I tried to install it on a Vista machine with IIS 7 and SQL 2005 on it...

Thanks!

Lars

in your connection settings in the web.config you have the sql2000 section for both connection strings commented out. Both sections have a comment above the line you are altering but the closing comment is on th eline below:

<!-- comment....
<connection string....
-->

change it on both lines to:

<!-- comment... -->
<connection string....
