Hi,
we have bought the package MySQL Data Provider for DNN 4.0.3.
we have followed the praxis described in the enclosed manual but it doesn't work.
We didn't find the version of dnn 4.0.3, so we have tried to install the vesion 4.4.1.
The installation is happen in local.
we tried to follow the praxis more and more times but it give back some error ( for example Object reference not set to an instance of an object. )

Could you help us please?

I imagine you'll need to download the 4.0.3 version of DNN in order to use the MySQL dataprovider. Another option is to download SQL Server Express, it's free, and will run DNN just fine.

IMHO you'd be better off sticking with Microsoft SQL products while running DNN, it is possible to use other databases, but with the core development team developing for MS products you'll find much broader options for support using SQL.

I agree with Chris' comments.  If you switch to a different DB engine you will need to ensure that you always have a provider for each module on that specific data store....
