I installed DNN for a subdomain, ron-and-iris.geefamily.net, in the ron-and-iris folder from my geefamily.net root. The site comes up correctly at http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net, and all of the menu links work correctly. However, the link pointed to by the logo at the very top of the page doesn't work correctly; it points to http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net/ron-and-iris, which brings up a "Page Not Found" error. How can I change that so that it just points to the topmost subdomain (http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net)? I tried changing the PortalAlias in the database, but that screwed up the entire app and I had to do a re-install.

I didn't explicity assign any portal aliases; I guess one was created for me during the installation.

There is one record in the PortalAlias table:

PortalAliasID	PortalID	HTTPAlias
1	0	ron-and-iris.geefamily.net/ron-and-iris

I suppose I add a row in the PortalAlias table directly, since I don't see an option for doing so in the Site Settings page. I assume I give it the same PortalID of 0.

How do I do that?

The "default" login page for the site is:

http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net/ron-and-iris/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

I can change the address to this:

http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

and login, but all of the links after I login have http://ron-and-iris.geefamily.net/ron-and-iris/. And, again, I don't see an option in the Site Settings page for removing an alias.
