I was wondering if anyone can advise on how to configure the dropdown menu that is available with DNN. Specifically I'd like to have the child nodes in alphabetical order (asc). I know how to achieve this manually but wasn't sure if there was an easy way within DNN to accomplish this? Quite happy to alter any of the .js files if that's needed but I know with DNN 4.4.1 there is a nav.ascx file which I'm not too familiar with.

Thanx for any advise as always.

I don't know of an easy way, other than to manually sort the pages in whatever order you want (alpha) in the admin/pages menu

Chris

Thanx for this. That's obviously the way I know how to do it (fairly easy I know) but as I believe the menu is written in JavaScript I was wondering if others had created a sort order sequence within it. Look as though I may need to get my fingers somewhat dirty on this one.

Thanx anyhow.

I would copy the existing navigation provider you are using and create a new one that does the same thing, only it sorts the results first.  Once created, add the provider to your web.config and then assign it in your skin (ProviderName=xxx)  See this document for more info on the subject.
