I just finished installing 4.5.0 about 10 minutes ago. It went completely without incident.

The installation wizard is *AWESOME* !!!!!! Reading about it was great but using it was greater :-) Too bad you guys didn't do this about a year ago, I just got the process of doing it the manual way down pat :-) Thanks to everyone that contributed to that feature.

I love the new Control Panel. The new icons are pretty neat but some of them are difficult to identify. If I didn't know that the print icon is in the lower right of the module I wouldn't know that was an icon of a printer.

As for performance, it's hard to tell on my local install although it seems a little more responsive.

Also like the fact that the FCKEditor is the default now! That was one of the first things I would do when setting up a new install. Thanks!

Well, that's about it for now. Keep up the great work!!!!

Happy Easter to all that observe...

First Install of 4.5.0 in Vista with IIS7 went well -.... at first

Like the new installer,  looks great, works well for default. Doesn't work at all for the old style method, because empty DB wasn't in App_Data.  It was nice that "typical" created the DB file, "if you NULL'ed out the name"

Like the control panel that doesn't eat lots of screen real estate

Liked have a totally empty Home Page and not having DNN's traditional books. As I looked further it may have been because the only modules installed were: Skin Objs, Login, Banners, Search and Users.  I thought that you guys had really stripped the core down to the bare minimum.

When I went to look for the modules I was missing from the downloads there wasn't a Text/HTML module and without that it is really tough to evaluate or test the new kit.  Reinstalling the Install Kit did't give me any more files.

What am I missing?  Certianly others who are raving must have an HTML module at least.
