Hello Boskone,

Could you please send me the file by private email?  I know the official release is out, but in spite I have installed the last version of TEXT/HTML and FCKEditor, the error still is here.

   thanks in advance,

  Peter

I'm seeing the ": startIndex cannot be larger than length of string. Parameter " error now as well.

DNN is not installed in the web root. M:\Inetpub\www is the web root. The DNN is installed, and the virtual directories point to, M:\Apps\DNN.

I am seeing an odd thing ... occasionally an extra "/" appears so I might be at http://ww2.fredonia.edu/news/ and I'll see http://ww2.fredonia.edu/news// ... and sometimes I'll see http://ww2.fredonia.edu/news/News/tabid/11/NewsStory/default.aspx ... the virtual directory (news) name is repeated, second time in uppercase initial which matches the name of the virtual directory in IIS.

I just wonder if any of this is related. If not, I know the second part is Off Topic for this thread ... but if anyone can help me figure it out, I'd appreciate it.

Oh ... DNN 4.5.5 and FCK 1.09 ... I double checked the DLL versions etc.

PMichael

Where you see this extra / ??? I mean, pressing a specific button? entering a specific page?

Also, please give me the same info for the error you are seeing.

Mauricio,

Here's the error I see in the event log:

As far as the extra "/" I think I have figured out what's happening. I was wrong about the virtual directory re-appearing; there was a parent page by the same name, threw me off for too long. Stupid of me. the "/" ... if you go to http://ww2.fredonia.edu/resnet ... it will throw a "/" on the end which seems odd; I had put one there manually and then saw two. THought it might be related to path errors or something also with this other issue, but I retract all that now and will take another look at it.

Here's more which is rather troubling as it shows that incorrect paths are being used, and no wonder my users are having problems:

InnerException: Error loading FCK gallery files: G:\Apps\DNN\faculty\
FileName:
FileLineNumber: -1
FileColumnNumber: -1
Method:
StackTrace:
Message: System.Exception: Error loading FCK gallery files: G:\Apps\DNN\faculty\

AND

InnerException: Error loading FCK gallery folders: g:\inetpub\wwwroot\faculty\
FileName:
FileLineNumber: -1
FileColumnNumber: -1
Method:
StackTrace:
Message: System.Exception: Error loading FCK gallery folders: g:\inetpub\wwwroot\faculty\

The web root is in g:\inetpub\www

DNN install is in g:\Apps\DNN

but it should be looking under g:\Apps\DNN\Portals\25\faculty for the images

Network Service account does have read permissions on the drive root ...
