When install DNN to my host, I have a error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

I have already changed web.config at customError mode to Off. I have waited one week to host clear cache but this error until show when i access to my dnn.

So, help me to slove this problem !

Thanks!

When you changed the web.config to <customErrors mode="Off"..

And reload page, doesn't it show a more "detailed" error message?  If so, can you post the more detailed error?

Thanks.

I am having the same issue on one host. Making the change to "Off" does not change the resulting error message so I still cannot see the detailed error message.

On your host, do you have your DNN installed in its own VirtualDirectory?  If not, it is likely that the root VirtualDirectory has its own Web.Config file, and then you're trying to also have another Web.Config file in the DNN sub-directory.  In order to properly install DNN, you'll need to make sure that you have DNN installed in its own VirtualDirectory (or the root of your domain which should already be its own VirtualDirectory).  Then you can make CustomError="Off" in the Web.Config and figure whats causing the problem.
