Installed 3.3.7 ... added an event ... can't edit it, or at least I can't find where to edit it ... also, when I click on the event I get just a page refresh ... when I click on List Events or View Week all I get is page refresh that shows the month view.

Same here. I had a DNN 3.3.7 installation and upgraded Events 3.02.00 to 3.03.07 and everything was fine until I tried to edit something.

Click on the event title while in admin role -- just a refresh, no edit screen!

Help!!!

In the new module, clicking on the Event Title while in any one of the views will take you to the "Event Detail "view/form.  On the "Event Detail" form, you will see an "edit" and "delete" link, if you are either 1) an Admin for the site or 2) are in a role that has "edit" permission on the module and/or are the creator of the event.

Hey Alan -- me again

Sounds like frogfire is having the same issue as I am.  Installed module and can't edit or view details -- just get a page refresh?

Per you suggestion, I just started fresh on a local install after exhausting all other avenues in production.

here is what I get

Error: Module is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(PortalModuleBase ctrlModule, Exception exc) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventController.UpgradeEvents(Int32 ModuleID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.Settings.LoadSettings() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Modules.ModuleSettingsPage.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Ok. I know it is extremely difficult to figure out what all of us knuckleheads are doing but I have been running dnn since 2.1 and usually I can figure these things out by process of elimination. But this one has me stumped. I am running version 441 and had previously run all of the events betas with no problem. upgraded to the new version and I have this problem. reverted back to 3.02 and it works. So there is something different in 3.3.7 that is causing a problem. The fresh install that I just did was a clean install. empty database. no errors on install. I even upgraded to 4.5 -- still a problem.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, help!!! Now that I have had a chance to use the new version -- its killing me to use the old one...

It's certainly strange.  I have several users that have done exactly the same scenario, but have had no issues.  Where are you running DNN/Module?  Could it be that the Host Provider setup has something to do with the issue?   Have you tried running on a local machine DNN setup?

I have had others report issues w/DNN 4.5.  I will try to check this out in the next day or so.  The "UpgradeEvents" method is a method in the Business Controller.  It is called in order to check to see if you are upgrading.  The only thing I can think is that that the registration of the business class library (DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.dll) did not get installed/loaded correctly.  Can you check the /bin directory for DNN to make sure this file exists...although it may exist, but not load correctly...so far, I have not been able to reproduce this issue.
