We recently upgraded to 4.4.1; however, this issue existed on our previous version 4.3.5.

Under Admin/Site Settings/Advanced Settings/Page Management...

We have set up our Splash Page, Home Page, Login Page, etc., however, when some users are logging in they are being referred to a different page other than the Home Page.  It does not happen consistently either.  It appears that it is trying to refer them to the last page that was added to the site and not the Home Page that is referenced through the Page Management area.

Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue by chance?

You guessed right. This is the behaviour of login control that it redirects back to the page from which the user clicks on the login link.

There is a query string variable returnurl that specify that value. Currently, that i know, there is no option to override returnurl property of the login control.
