When you install DNN 4.5.0, it shows the Forum module as being version 03.20.09.  An install of DNN 4.4.1 shows the Forum module as 03.20.08 and does not indicate that an upgrade is available.

What is the difference between the two versions?

Nevermind.  I see it at http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=5387

Hopefully this will be released as a separate download soon.

I also hope so as I might not be able to upgrade for 4.5....
