I was wondering if there is a way to archive the blog entries individually so that they do not show up automatically when a user checks my blog.  My blog is on my home page and the page is getting rather cluttered with my entries.  Maybe a drop down menu under the Settings menu for the blogs that allows one to choose an archiving frequency i.e. entries will automatically be archived and removed from view 1 month after posting.  The entries should still be accessible if a user clicks on the calendar.
Thank you for taking the time to address my concern.

No, and I don't understand the reason why it could be of interest to "archive" an entry.

The "most recent entry" shows the last x entries of all blogs, you can setup the number of entries which should be shown in this view (module option of the "most recent" control).

The only idea I  have is to modify the sp for your private use (but please be informed that this could be overwritten with the next update).

Have a look for the sp which is named Blog_ListBlogsByPortal there you can modify the where clause and you can add a date range.

If you are not familiar with SQL let me know.

BTW: A blog is more or less an "electronic diary"
