This is starting to really get to me but on my site, all the anchor tags displayed correctly (ie showed the way that the style sheet was telling them to show) but ever since I upgraded to 4.4.1 any new links I put in show with a box around it. I thought it might be a problem with IE and switched off the option in Internet Options but it still shows (also show in Firefox). All the previous links are still displaying properly (no box around it) but the new ones automatically get one. below is my settings for the "<a>" tags -

A:link  {
    text-decoration: none;
    border-color:#FFFFFF;
}

A:visited   {
    text-decoration:    none;
   border-color:#FFFFFF;
}

A:active    {
 text-decoration: none;
}

A:hover {
    text-decoration:    none;
}

As you can see, i have been trying to get rid of it, cover it up and have run out of ideas as to how I can remedy this ...... thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

In the CSS make sure that there is not another declaraction for A style rules, possibly under the "Normal" CSS class.

Could you post a link to a page showing the problem?

(and one with the old link?)

Timo,

     The link is http://www.discovery-rentals.com . You will notice on the homepage, there are two pictures that have the box around them where else the rest dont. The two pics with the boxes are the two new images / links that I added yesterday. All other links are ok (dont have a box) and these were the ones that were done before upgrading to 4.4.1. It is only recently (since upgrading) that this has begun to happen I find it really odd that it does not reflect the links created previousely which makes me think that I might be updating the wrong style sheet????? Am editing the skin css. Not sure where to go from here.......

Thanks

The difference between the images is that the old ones have some HTML layout:

border=0

DNN 4.5 uses FCK as the default editor and that creates code without HTML layout (cleaner and better, although I wonder if you will with the last)

If you add the following to skin.css it should be solved:

a img{
border-style:none;
}
