Hi, I was having the same problem.  I think I may have figured it out.  I was accepting the default website name/path  Filepath|DotNetNuke Website1 and kept getting the same error no matter how I tried it.  I changed the default name to DNNWeb and it worked!  Perhaps the spaces or the length of the path/name makes a difference??  Don't take my word for it though as this is first time I have ever even installed this.

Yes, I think there are some file path limitations at some point. You must have set your root somewhat deep to start with then. Anyway, glad you got it figured out.
