Hello

I have my DNN setup as follows:

  • DNN Host Server and SQL server in same timezone (GMT -7 I believe)
  • I am in GMT + 4
  • I set Admin|Site Settings|Portal Time Zone to GMT + 4 (I want the portal to be seen as being in this timezone)
  • I set my user account to GMT + 4
  • The site time/date when logged in/out is incorrect (behind by 11 hrs).  I have an articles module that shows the correct times, so i can publish an article at 09:00 on Sunday the 15th but the portal date shows as Saturday the 14th...
  • If i set the Admin|Site Settings|Portal Time Zone to GMT - 7 (the physical location of the server) keeping my user account at GMT + 4... when logged in everything is fine but when logged out the site time/date is behind again and the articles module shows dates/times as per the GMT -7 zone i.e. th earticle that shows as published at 09:00 on the 15th when logged in (user at GMT + 4) now shows as published at 22:00 on the 14th i.e. 11 hrs earlier...

Maybe i have misunderstood but i thought the Admin|Site Settings|Portal Time Zone setting enabled us to create a site that appears to be in a time zone that does not have to be the same as the physical server it is hosted on... multiple portals multiple time zones if desired etc but it doe snot appear to be the case...

Am i missing something, is there perhaps another "host" time zone setting that i have not set?

Any guidance much appreciated...

Simon
