Yes. since you know it is working properly, ad an alias of something to the effect: www.chickensplus.info/dnn/comtest or whatever. then try to access that and see if it does the same thing. If you can access it, then (on GoDaddy) try removing your domain from the virtual and adding it back. If you cannot and it redirects the same way, then the portal most likely didn't create properly and try creating another portal.

I'm also using Godaddy hosting plans. But im not a reseller, i created two tutorials about how to install dnn at godaddy root and how to use multiple parent portals with existing domains.

Tutorials are located at: http://www.mikroproje.com/DotNetNukeArticles.aspx

Green I dont want to seem like an idiot but, I cant FTP to "move Files" .  I normally use windows explorer for FTP , I have never figured out how to move something on the remote, generally I copy it down to my local and then copy back up.  The only choice I have is move folder.

I downloaded Fillzilla and again same problem, it seemed to what to load everything in a que and the only place you could send it wast to the local machine.

The fact that webconfig dosent have read write permissions sure explains what I am going through.  I did setup the Godaddyroot and copy the files in there (by the way does that mean they automatically gain the permissions of the folder? I thought not.

If you can me any further instructions on how to "move" the files I woudl appreciate it greatly.

I'm sorry i forgot to reply this topic, moving files on remote ftps are simple. You only need to be familiar with drag-drop feature of your explorer. For example lets say you have three files in root\sub folder and you want to move them to root folder. Simply choose all files with CTRL+A and drag them into root folder from treeview.

I am giving up.  I would recommend anyone thinking about using godaddy to go through the board member sohoinetsol. This is a goddaddy reseller that has proven to me that he or she will not leave you hanging. They will do what they can to see that your portal is setup and working correctly.
