I hired a developer to do a website based off of a CMS system. He convinced me to use dotnetnuke. Now i have stupid questions which i can't find the answers for.

1) what exactly is stored in the SQL database - the reason i ask this is my hosting provider (hostway) only provides me with a 50mb database. Does the SQL database store ALL the sites content/text? forum, etc.?

2) is there a pdf manual?

3) what books do you recomend?

Thank you for your time

1) all content except files. You can also configure to save portal log in files (in your case recommended). 50 MB should be sufficient for a medium sized portal.

2) there are a number of books available, online tutorials, writen and video. There are pdf papers for various technical aspects on the documentation page.

3) Professional DotNetNUke4 (Walker et al.) has the best background information, Building Websites with VB.Net and DotNetNuke 4 (Egan et al.) is more up to date. I am not sure, whether DotNetNuke for Dummies has already been released.

In addition to everything above, I also recommend downloading the User documentation that is available on the "Downloads" section of this site.
