Hi all,

I am brand new to DotnetNuke.  Today I downloaded the Source for the latest version of DotnetNuke.  I then went to the directory where I saved this and clicked on the solution file (DotNetNuke.sln) .  I then try to run the app.  I got this error:

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30451: Name 'Config' is not declared.

Source Error:

I am sure I did something wrong.  I would like to see some instructions for starting from scratch.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thannks,

Bob

Thanks.  If you find out anything, let me know.  I downloaded the DotNetNuke project and installed it.  I was not sure what to do next.  I found the solution file and opened it with Visual Studio.  Not sure if this is what i should be doing.  It is probably just me but I do no see any instructions for what to do after downloading the stuff.

Thanks,

Bob

I'm getting the same error on a clean 4.51 install on Vista.

I've actaully set up the web.config with the correct sql2005 db strings as well.

Any ideas?

please ensure you've renamed the release.config file to web.config if this is the first time you're using that site.
