Hi,

I have updated my DNN testwebserver, which is a restore copy from the live system, to 4.5.1. The update completed succesfully, but now I can't login with any exsisting user at the testwebserver. I have found no log entry in any file - so what can I do in this case? Any hints?

cheers, Georg

It would appear that the machine keys you had on the previous version, the one that was used to create your test DB, are different than your production ones you restored from. You simply need to get the old machine keys and change them in the web.config.

Georg,

glad I could help. Just make sure that when you go to production to change the keys back over. I would suggest perhaps a new .config file, release.config, just for this purpose.
