Registered Users Can't post to any modules such as forums or blogs. I can't figure out what's missing in my configuration here. Please let me know if I am possibly overlooking a setting somewhere.

For the forums you must give registered users "Edit" permission to the module.  This does NOT allow them to administer the forum it only allows them posting rights.

I'm experiencing this same issue, however I -have- set all my forums to have registered users as the edit role.

The new topic button still doesn't show up for my test user, however, any ideas?

Ok it sounds like you have set the permissions at the "Forum" group, however you must also be sure to set the permissions at the "module" level.

From the admin navigation menu select "Settings" and ensure they are selected under "Edit" from there for the whole module.  Even those this is a module setting it ONLY affects posting permissions.
