Good evening,

I am currently running DNN 4.5.1 with the Forum module 03.20.09, and--to date--have never, ever seen any indication that e-mail notifications are being sent out.  This behavior appears consistent since my initial install with DNN 4.3.1 to the recent upgrades to DNN 4.5.1 without any success.  As indicated in other threads, I have noticed similarities in behavior, but the only difference that concerns me is that the Forum module does not appear to generate any errors in the Event Log whatsoever.  I have been unable to locate a user manual for this module on the project site, as was advised in other threads.

DNN does send out newsletters via e-mail just fine, but there are no apparent success with the Forum module.  Below are my settings in the module under the "Notification Email" sub-header:  Email Notification--Checked, Show Sender Address--Unchecked, Email Format--Text, Email Template--DNNSilver, Automated Address--csportal@xxx.com--the same e-mail addressed used in the host's configuration.  My SMTP server also requires simple authentication.

I don't know if this means anything, but I also queried the contents of one of the module's tables, called "csportal_Forum_Notification," on my system and got nothing.  If people have requested e-mail notification, is this table supposed to be empty?

I appreciate any guidance.  If there is a user manual, could you please point me in the right direction to download it?

Thanks...

I am successfully receiving email notifications when the checkbox "Email me when ..." is checked in the forum. However, I am still not receiving moderator email notifications (i.e. email to alert me when a new post needs to be approved).

Hi,

My problem is simple I hope -  when I do the test SMTP the send works, but as soon as I register as a user with a valid email it does not send an verification mail and when compiling a Newsletter and when sending it nobody gets this mail.

Can anyone assist me.

Thanks

C.
