I had this problem and after weeks of trying to figure it out i finally did

When you upload the Zip file to your web host and use their 'file manger' or similar tools it skips the zip files inside the main zip

You'll notice that your /install/modules directory is empty

It should contain zip files for all the modules but the web hosts 'file manager' tool can't extract zip file from with a zip file

to fix upload all the zip files from /install/modules

then go to "your site"/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources

The missing modules should all be back

I'm having the same problem as mknaidoo.

I've installed DNN 4.3.2 successfully. The installation script indicated that all the modules were installed (see below).
00:01:14.859 - Installing Desktop Modules:
00:01:14.859 - Installing Modules:
00:01:14.984 - Installing Module File C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke\Install\Module\Announcements_3.3.2_Install.zip:
00:01:21.468 - Installing Module File C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\DotNetNuke\Install\Module\Blog_3.02.00_Install.zip:
...

I can load "My Website" and login as admin. However all my Modules (except Account Login, Banners, Search Input, Search Results and User Account) are missing. When I looked into \install\Module, it is empty.

I tried to follow actionsolutions' advice:

to fix upload all the zip files from /install/modules

then go to "your site"/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources

But when I ran "/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources" I simply got:

Installing Resources

Install Resources Status Report

Installation Complete

Perhaps I'm doing the "upload all the zip files from /install/modules" wrongly. Can you explain where I am to find these "zip files" and how I perform the action of "upload"?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I had the same problem.  What I think created my problem is that I installed the application and had to delete the files.

I deleted all the tabels in the database but I didn't delete all the other objects in the database i.e. views, stored procs, user defined functions and etc.  When I deleted everything in the database that was created by DNN and reinstalled everthing over, it worked.

I wrote some sql code to delete all the non system procedures and tabels.  I didn't have easy access to just deleting the database itself.
