I'm attempting to create a template that will pull in content so that new portals can be created quickly and shared content will be added to the new portal when created from the template.    

Another developer created a shared content module that allows content to be created and used by all parent portals.  Then if the content is edited it is edited in the database and all portals referring to the content gets the updated content.

Now I need to create a template from an existing portal that uses this shared content module.  When I create a new portal from the template is pulls in the module but not the selected content.

Does anyone know why the content is not getting pulled in and what i can do either to the template defination or to the custom module code to get it to "include the content" for that module?

When I create the template from the existing portal I've checked the "include content" checkbox and an HTML/Text module is getting the content included but it is just a copy of the content.
