Jeff, if the Authentication line is uncommented in the web.config DNN automatically sends them to the WindowsSignin.ascx and then they get redirected back to whatever the active page is (if they've just opened the site it'll be your designated home page). When you say it does all sorts of fun things what do you mean?

If you were to specifically try to send them to the windowssignin.aspx page then the URL would be http://intranet.company.com/admin/security/windowssignin.aspx

Oglethorpe, if the site is in the Trusted Sites or the Local Intranet sites they should be re-logged in automatically. The timeout settings is something that I've got to hunt down myself as I haven't found the correct one but I also haven't looked really deeply. If you use the DNN AD Fix on my site (http://dnn.gmss.org) when they do log in using DNN's login screen it will authenticate against the AD.

Removing users from DNN once they've been removed from the AD is something I want to look at too and it will be much easier once the AD provider is separated from the core.
